Anne V Massey
Anne studied Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics at Brighton Polytechnic from 1986-1989, graduating with first class honours. In 2002 she obtained a City and Guilds certificate (craft level) in Silversmithing from Sir John Cass School of Art and also in 2002 she joined Brass Monkeys studio in Hove. Since 2005 she has worked almost exclusively in the technique of anticlastic raising, a way of forming flat metal into three-dimensional shapes by use of a hammer and formers.
Recent exhibitions include Simply Silver followed by the British Jewellery Show, both at the Craft Centre and Design Gallery, Leeds, in Autumn 2015; a show of work by members of the Sussex Guild at Worthing Museum which ran from June to August 2016; and the Byre Gallery’s Christmas 2016 exhibition, All That Glitters.
