Disabled Access
Due to the social distancing measurements a one way system has been introduced. Unfortunately this involves steps up and down. If you would like to visit without using the steps please could you ring and we can arrange a time before our opening times for you to have free access.
There is wheelchair access to 90 per cent of the gallery space and the tearoom.
Half the exhibition space is housed within two railway carriages from the 1890’s.
These carriages have ramps leading into them and, as such, it’s not possible to access them with a mobility scooter without assistance.
With the ramps to the carriages we advise that wheelchair users are assisted by an able bodied person, or please just ask a member of staff for help.
We have two disabled parking spaces only 40 ft from the entrance-door to the gallery with no steps to negotiate.
We have a spacious disabled friendly loo with grab bars on the wall and a handle that folds down for support on the other side
