I produce thought provoking, figurative pieces designed to suggest an emotion or loose narrative which is often ambiguous, and open to interpretation.

A visit to the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green was the inspiration for my current work. These doll like figures and ‘confused’ little creatures are often inspired by childhood memories or personal thoughts, sometimes referencing a story or nursery rhyme, which may provoke a sense of nostalgia,

I use a stoneware clay, decorated with underglazes and a low firing glaze. Nicrome wire and small metal tacks are often incorporated into the work before firing. All the work is hand built and each piece is unique.
