I made my first pot at age eight, began studying ceramics at secondary school and took a degree in craft-oriented 3D-Design, graduating in 1982. I worked as a graphic designer for 30 years, continuing potting studies/practice throughout 90s and 00s at night class for pleasure.
Following a raku Summer School in 2005 I began offering raku work for sale and was accepted into the Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s Garden Gallery within a year. I take part in around a dozen selected ceramic shows a year, plus gallery exhibitions.
A member of the Northern Potters Association and Associate Member of the Craft Potters Association, I have exhibited internationally and my work can be found in private collections around the world. My inspiration comes from everywhere but principally plant and animal forms spark ideas.
